We offer assistance in event planning services. We'd be happy to work with you to create an amazing event if you need assistance.

During Maternal Suicide Awareness Month (September)
National Suicide Prevention Week Sept. 7th-13th
Suicide Awareness Day September 10th
Or any time of year as part of your own remembrance event
Where:
Public park or garden
Community center
Backyard gathering
Hospital or birth center grounds
Local memorial site
How to Plan:
Choose your date and location.
Notify Cherished Mom so butterflies can be arranged.
Invite family, friends, and your community.
Promote the event with awareness-focused messaging.
Create a simple remembrance ceremony (see sample below).
Consider adding donation, education, or advocacy opportunities.
Sample Ceremony Outline
Welcome & Opening Remarks – Share the purpose and who you’re honoring.
Moment of Silence – Allow space for reflection or prayer.
Reading or Reflection – A quote, poem, or survivor story.
Butterfly Release – Release individually or together.
Call to Action – Invite attendees to learn more about maternal mental health and ask loved ones, “Is MOM ok?”
